Energy Efficiency Connecting through light

We create WiFi hotspots through our solar powered street lights to unconnected African villages and we create solar and wind energy grids through our off-grid home power system which utilises DC power to power the homes connected to through our platform. Our technology turns a dark village into a smart village as the entire community is connected both to our clean energy and to each other through our app called GUGU. Our app also allows for the community to access online movies, tv and video educational content without any use or cost of internet DATA purely through our simple internet connection without any buffering.

This solution is able to help schools, churches and ordinary houses access information and online content and makes their public spaces clean and safe. We are currently piloting in two villages in South Africa with a combined population of 150k households.
