Currently, my country Kenya is facing challenges in the agricultural sector due to pests such as the desert locust and fall armyworm. As Corona virus cases rise in Africa, supporting farmers is more important than ever. We cannot afford to experience a health crisis as well as a food crisis at the same time. Good health relies on good harvests and our nations largely depend on food grown by small scale farmers.
Our business is based on an innovation of a newly formulated, affordable (cheaper by 40% compared to synthetic pesticides) bio pesticide made from locally available raw materials and it is geared towards protecting farmers’ crops from pests in an eco-friendly manner. The innovation is a product called Dane bio-pesticide.
