A megawatt of new solar energy installations goes online every 36 Minutes in the USA…
When will we do that in Africa? How about – right NOW!!!
The EC Energy company PAYG financing model for Africa, using the Democratic Republic of Congo as our pilot project has a KPMG backed projected ROIC of approx. 11.15% on par with a company such as Apple Inc´s. Not Bad
It´s the first solar PAYG initiative of its kind in DR Congo serving a population of almost 80 million people having the lowest electrification rate in Africa of 13%.
Worked in DR Congo since 2013 accumulating retail market data, business strategy, consumer debt psych and healthy political connections making this project very viable.
A dormant last-mile distribution network of 70 Shop and +1100 last-mile agents waiting for this project to get off and make a difference in their lives.
Estimated ROI at +$12 Million USD by 2021 with $10 M USD Venture Capital Investment in 2019
According to the latest Bloomberg New Energy Finance data, published in the last quarter of 2017, more than $300 million in debt and equity was disbursed in East Africa to off-grid solar vendors in 2016, up from $20 million in 2013. As new venture funds have been announced and corporate interest grows, 2019-2021 should bring a similar level of activity.
Let´s deliver bankable PAYG to DR Congo. Our markets are seeing some of the fastest economic growth in the world.
