DigiExt takes an eco-friendly approach for waste management by converting rice straw to paper products using innovative engineering design. This strategy provides a new market place for farmers to help cushion against market volatility since their produce are a necessity to our value chain to make valuable paper products. Also, these compostable/biodegradable paper products can substitute the use of plastics and thereby, reducing the adverse effect on the environment. Our pilot project host country Ghana, imports over $260 million worth of paper products. Prior to the onset of plant operations, DigiExt has established relationships with the Director of youth employment and import substitution in Ghana to replace the current paper imports with locally made one whilst providing new job opportunities.
