Our team has designed and operates at scale a hydroponic operation that is able to minimise resource consumption and food waste, whilst protecting the environment and generating strong, predictable agricultural yields. Our staff are predominantly young, many female, since we provide a working environment that is safe and dignified, not working in harsh conditions. 30% of our power comes from renewable solar on site. We sell into major retailers in South Africa and our product is consistently recognized as being premium with a superior shelf life. We have an opportunity to scale even further into new products, and are looking for innovative financing solutions (such as low cost, debt, blended finance, revenue shares etc) to develop more infrastructure and create a bigger impact.
