Why It Matters

Ghana produces thousands of tons of plastic waste annually, much of which ends up in landfills or pollutes water bodies.

Palm kernel shells, a byproduct of the oil palm industry, are often discarded or burned, releasing harmful emissions.

At the same time, the demand for affordable housing and quality furniture materials is rising.
