THE PROBLEM WE ARE SOLVING.
We are solving the problem of the lack of access to funding by SMEs in Africa and other parts of the developing world. We are addressing the problem of the inability of the traditional banks to design and cost-effectively implement asset-based financial instruments to SMEs due to lack of data and the high cost of the process relative to the credit size.

Evolving alternative financing models for SME has been very difficult. For instance, traditional banks don’t have the mechanism to administer asset-based instruments to SMEs. There are two key reasons for this. First is the lack of data about SMEs potentially eligible for non-debt instruments including historical data on the value of specific assets, accounts receivables, inventory, machinery and equipment. These data do not exist in Nigeria because majority of SMEs don keep records.
