Buttonup Economic Empowerment for women in Cairo's most impoverished areas

ButtonUp is a social enterprise born at the intersection between entrepreneurship and supporting local communities. Our social enterprise is established on sewing training to create job opportunities to women. Currently working in one of Cairo’s most impoverished areas – Izbet Khairallah, devises innovative development solutions, and enables them to become both economically productive and socially engaged— with the ultimate aim of promoting human dignity and greater social equity.
Our mission is to achieve the economic empowerment of youth and women in the areas most in need, through manufacturing and marketing of high-quality Egyptian products, capable of competing in different markets.
