Quito produces 2,300 tonnes per day of waste; 60% is organic waste. We aim to positively impact the city’s waste management system by promoting the correct disposal and treatment of organic waste; we could avoid sending 503 700 tonnes to the city dumpster.
We use equipment that we invented and built for our process, and we work together with local waste pickers.
