As’soué Group As'soué: Pioneering Recycling in Burkina Faso

S’SOUÉ is a Burkinabè social enterprise with over 7 years of commitment to circular economy, environmental sustainability, and the promotion of local craftsmanship. Through innovative recycling solutions—particularly of plastic waste and used tires—AS’SOUÉ has successfully transformed more than 300,570 tires, giving them a second life with both functional and aesthetic value.

The enterprise has made a significant socio-economic impact, creating 713 direct jobs and 1,426 indirect jobs, especially for women and youth. Operating in two regions of Burkina Faso (Centre-North and East), AS’SOUÉ works at the heart of local communities to drive inclusive and sustainable growth.

AS’SOUÉ collaborates with several major technical and institutional partners, including FAARF, VSF, UNHCR, ICRC, LUXDEV, and CEAS, reinforcing its role as a key player in the green economy and the revitalization of artisanal heritage in West Africa.
