Fake academic records are a huge problem in Sub Saharan Africa. Employers, HR Firms, Embassies and other institutions find it very difficult to verify the authenticity of Academic records.

This problem exists mainly because a lot of the current processes for creating and issuing academic credentials are manual. The credentials created are also physical documents.

These physical documents are prone to loss, damage or theft.

Akowe is a verification platform that solves these problem in multiple ways. First, we have created a digital issuance engine via which educators can issue verifiable digital certificates. Secondly, we are creating a verification platform that connects digitally with educational institutions, enabling users to verify academic records in record time.
