Post-harvest loss persists in Nigeria and Africa primarily due to farmers’ poor access to market, unavailability of affordable cold storage, and inefficient transportation of farm produce. So providing farmers with improved access to market and more efficient transportation is a good place to start solving the problem; we are already doing this with Agriple. To help solve this problem we built a web application that allows farmers upload pictures and prices of their farm produce and sell to buyers in any part of the country regardless of their geographical locations, and partnered with a logistics company to ensure that farm produce purchased by buyers are transported efficiently.
