Food waste and Post-harvest loss is a serious problem in Nigeria and Africa – about 60% of all food cultivated on the continent is lost to post-harvest loss, enough food to feed 300 million hungry people in the continent. Food loss and waste translates also into economic losses for farmers and other stakeholders in the food value chain and into higher prices for consumers, both of which affect food security by making food less accessible for the poorest and most vulnerable groups, mostly women and children.
Most of our competition only have an online presence, but our impressive franchise model, Agriple Stores, gives us the benefits of having physical stores without having to pay for them or run them.
Also we employ predictive analytics to determine demand and consumer behaviour, enabling us plan adequately. This means that the actionable data we have collected from our users over a period of time can help us determine what farm produce users will be needing most at any time.
