afringa supports African and multinational companies to increase trust, quality and efficiency of the hiring process with pre-screened video job applications, and it prepares African job candidates for job requirements with personalised suggestions for further education, based on existing qualifications and current location. afringa’s main goal is to become the leading online business and career life cycle platform across Africa.
African and multinational companies have difficulties identifying the right job candidates, among approximately 900 applications, received for every job advertisement. There are more job candidates than available jobs in most African countries. Job candidates regularly apply with false qualifications just to increase their chances of getting invited to a job interview.
The majority of African job candidates are insufficiently aware of minimum qualifications for the local employment market or what it means to be considered an attractive job candidate. Furthermore, job candidates, often have high costs when applying for a job such as referral fees for personnel agencies, irrespective of whether the agencies can find a job or not. Costs for printing paper, taking photographs, notary fees, postage, etc.
