Nigeria is the 5th largest plantain-producing-country in the world. Despite her prominence in the growth of plantain, the National-per-capita consumption figures show that the amount of plantain consumed is small. This is because it ripens easily and thus ends up being consumed only around areas of production with just few being successfully conveyed to the cities. In the cities, the demand for plantain-derivatives has risen tremendously in recent years because of the rapidly increasing urbanization and the great demand for easy-and-convenient foods by the non-farming urban population.

At Adriella Foods, We intend to produce Plantain-chips prepared with our special recipe, branded and packaged in line with current international best practice to meet an ever increasing demand. This will help us contribute to food Security in Nigeria by reducing the wastage of plantain thereby increasing its availability and consumption across the country.
