Our company is registered in Zambia as a privately held Limited Liability company. 50% of ownership shares are held by citizens of Zambia while the remaining 50% are owned by private impact investors committed to financing sustainable energy access in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The company is governed by an independent Board of Directors with majority representation by African nationals who are also empowered to select the company management.
The Board consists of:
2 Co-Founder directors who are citizens of Zambia and will manage day-to-day operations
1 Private impact investor representatives
1 Independent director from Zambia with utility industry expertise
1 Community leader representative from project areas
The independent governance structure ensures decisions are made in interests of local communities while tapping international expertise and capital. Over time, increasing ownership will be transferred to project beneficiaries through a share incentive program.
