The Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector is a vital component of Nigeria’s economy, accounting for over 80% of the workforce and contributing significantly to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). However, a major challenge faced by MSMEs in Nigeria is accessing funding and support to scale their businesses.

The FIESTA 2023 event aims to address this challenge by creating awareness for the available funding and support windows that can aid MSMEs in their growth journey. The conference is aimed at providing a platform for MSMEs to learn, network, and gain insights into the latest trends, best practices, and business strategies to grow and thrive in today’s competitive market. At TMR, we promote gender equality and inclusiveness, giving special considerations to women and persons living with disabilities.

Our annual TMR event is focused on Financial Investment and Inclusion of MSMEs in Nigeria and Africa. The event will provide an avenue for young entrepreneurs to gain knowledge about available funding and support windows to scale their businesses. The one-day event will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, and breakout sessions aimed at providing practical knowledge and skills to the participants.

FIESTA 2023 is the third edition of this conference, to be held at the International Conference Centre in Abuja on 1 August 2023. It is aimed at creating awareness for MSMEs about available funding, empowerment and support windows for their businesses. FIESTA 2023 will offer attendees an opportunity to network, learn from experts in the industry and participate in workshops and panels that will provide practical knowledge and tools to help access fundings to grow their businesses, as well as providing business funding opportunities such as grants and investments during the event.

In addition to the conference, The MSME Retreat International also offers various side events and activities, such as business clinics, coaching and mentoring sessions, business pitch competitions, grants and networking dinners, to create a conducive environment for learning, collaboration, and growth. TMR also presents awards to deserving small business owners and stakeholders towards encouraging their efforts and contributions to the development of MSMEs in Nigeria and Africa.
