With the aim of bringing top entrepreneurs and cutting edge technology to China, She Loves Tech successfully launched across strategic “One Belt, One Road” locations in 2017, becoming the world’s largest competition focused on women and technology. The competition in She Loves Tech – East Africa 2018 is now open.
She Loves Tech is looking for novel technologies in all areas, not just digital and wireless apps. We encourage entrepreneurs in the areas as far as agriculture (agritech), artificial intelligence, B to B solutions, big data, consumer (i.e. e-commerce), clean energy, finance (fintech), education (edutech), internet of things, medicine (medtech), etc. to join the competition.
Technology refers to the use of science and innovation to invent useful things or to solve problems. This extends beyond new forms of digital and information technology and covers everything from hardware to the creation of new products, solutions and business models to existing problems.
Any entrepreneur, male or female, who is using technology to impact women positively can apply for the program:
- Are a significant proportion of end-users female?
- Are products specifically designed with women users in mind?
- Does the product itself address a problem that disproportionately affects women?
or there us at least one female entrepreneur in founding team who is using technology to solve a problem
