Sankalp Forum was initiated in India in 2009 by Intellecap, part of The Aavishkaar Group, to create a thriving ecosystem for business-led solutions to achieve the UN SDG Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 across the Global South. Over the past 13 years, Sankalp has built one of the world’s largest impact enterprise focused platforms that has showcased and discovered 1,800+ entrepreneurs through 23 editions of it’s flagship summits and has connected them to 600+ investors. Sankalp has enabled entrepreneurs to raise over USD 290 million in funding and disbursed USD 870 thousand in cash grants. Sankalp also engages with governments, corporations, influential platforms like the G8 and G20, media and civil society to drive a paradigm shift in inclusive development approaches. At Sankalp’s core is the entrepreneur and it uses the framework of knowledge, capital & networks to create an enabling ecosystem for their success.

Sankalp Summits are annual convening’s designed to initiate dialogues and enable action through innovation and entrepreneurship for the emerging 3 billion people. Thematically they focus on nine high impact sectors: Agriculture, Clean Energy and Climate Change, Financial Inclusion, Livelihoods, Circular Economy, Gender Lens Investing, Impact Investing, Affordable Housing & Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) with cross-cutting themes of Women, Capital & Technology. Sankalp is anchored in the Global South and hosts two flagship annual summits – Sankalp Global Summit & Sankalp Africa Summit. Each summit convenes entrepreneurs, impact investors, philanthropic foundations, private sector, civil society & governments. Partners for the summits have included USAID, The World Bank Group, IFC, IDRC, Rockefeller Foundation, Ford Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, etc.

Sankalp Dialogues facilitate year-round in-depth discussions and are structured as short duration convening’s both in-person & virtual.
