History
2011- Nace rockstart in Amsterdam with the first “Emerging Tech” program 2016- Nace Rockstart Latam in Bogota, Colombia as the site of the “Emerging Tech” acceleration program for the entire region ” 2020- Rockstart 2.0 Launch on investments in startups up to series B.
WHAT IS ROCKSTART LATAM?
Rockstart Latam’s acceleration program brings entrepreneurs closer to their business dreams and goals.
Our program happens once a year and selects 10 enterprises. It lasts for 6 months and takes place in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. Once entrepreneurs enter, identify their biggest challenges, are guided by experts, experience and validate their products and markets, prepare to receive investment and so scale their companies.
WHOM WE SEEK
We are interested in early stage startups and technology base that are creating the future, using new and promising technologies (AI, Blockchain, sensors) to generate a positive impact in the region.
Our program is different because it focuses on people. We watch for the development of the teams to become those dream teams that create the dream jobs of the future. On the other hand, the goal is to continue to strengthen the ecosystem of entrepreneurship in the region and we train our entrepreneurs to once come out of the program to give back to the community with their learning and experiences. Thus, it is possible to guide new entrepreneurs not to comment on the same mistakes as those who came before and can more easily scale their startups.

We are the first accelerator to offer all program startups a credit card.
Finaktiva pre-approved credit:
We offer a credit in conjunction with Finaktiva.
General workshops and Sessions 1 to 1: Every week 1 session and at least 2 workshops
Every week there are workshops with experts and individual sessions to solve the specific challenges of each startups.
Investing in startups:
We invest a total of $37k USD in cash to each startup. * The amounts may have some variation. The funds are calculated at COP and your relationship with the USD may vary.
Alumni Program: After finishing the 6 month program
Although you finish the 6 months of program, the Rockstart team support not for. We know that the next period is crucial for our alumni and that’s why they continue to have workshops, software credits, activities and community events, among others.
Mentors: Meet our mentors Throughout the program
We pick entrepreneurs and ecosystem insiders who are going to guide startups in their step up the program. The startups have assigned mentors, speed meetings and workshops dictated by their mentors to improve their strategies and be competitive in their sector.
Community events: Throughout the program
The value of relationships is important for entrepreneurs, in these spaces they know investors, allies, corporates and other entrepreneurs who validate their products.
Checkins: 1 time a week
Constant support from the program manager and manager as well as the entire team for providing sufficient advisory spaces in metrics, operations, and strategy.
Coworking space: During the 6 months of program
Each of the 10 participating companies has their space in our offices in Bogota, have meeting rooms and a classroom for activities.

In our program we cover the following areas of knowledge that every entrepreneur needs: Team Development, Finance (metrics & Analytics), Fundraising, Growth, Legal, Agile Methodologies, Product and Sales & Marketing.
