Traction Camp partners with East African hubs to support digital entrepreneurs

The m:Lab East Africa programme Traction Camp, now open for applications via VC4A, announced a partnership with tech hubs that support entrepreneurs and SMEs in the digital and ICT sectors across the region. The hubs include: Outbox (Uganda), Buni (Tanzania), kLab (Rwanda) and iceaddis (Ethiopia)

The partnership with the tech hubs will go a long way in ensuring that the best digital entrepreneurs in different countries in the region participate in Program. The Hubs will help to reach out and create opportunities to a larger group of growth-oriented digital entrepreneurs, so that the impact of the program is felt across the region. They will play a key role in identifying, mobilizing and supporting the entrepreneurs throughout the program.

We will conduct a series of information outreach workshops across the region for growth-oriented, digital entrepreneurs in partnership with the tech hubs. The main purpose of these workshops is to inform on requirements of the program, introduce the curriculum of the program and some of the key activities.

The workshops will be held in different countries as follows;

  • kLab (Rwanda) on 25th January
  • Buni Hub (Tanzania) on 26th January
  • Iceaddis (Ethiopia) on 2nd February
  • Outbox (Uganda) on 2nd February

Through PIVOT East and other programs, the m:lab East Africa has established working relationships with tech hubs and incubators in the East African Region and will continue to build upon these partnerships through the Traction Camp project’s activities.
