InVhestia Africa is collaborating with ViKtoria Ventures and the Kenya Investment Authority to showcase 10 early-stage companies at The Kenya International Investment Conference (KIICO) 2015.
KIICO is one of the biggest investment conferences in Kenya, which brings together over 1,500 delegates from different parts of the world. The event will be held at the Kenyatta International Conference Center from 22nd to 25th November 2015. Successful ventures will receive coaching to prepare them to pitch their businesses to over 100 local and foreign investors. In addition, the forum will give them an opportunity to interact with the delegates to strengthen their networks.
The main objective of the conference is to offer a platform to international, regional and domestic investors to consider business opportunities in various sectors of the Kenyan economy. KIICO 2015 is organized on a hybrid model with focus streams on specific sectors including ICT and Innovation, Agribusiness, Renewable Energy, Apparel and Textiles and Leather.
For the ICT and Innovation stream: In addition to focused panels with thought leaders covering such topics as the ICT investment climate in Kenya, public-private collaboration in developing the sector and Venture Capital in Kenya’s ICT sector, investors will be exposed to a selection of pre-screened investment-ready startups. We will also have a field trip to the upcoming technology park, Konza, where there are ready investment opportunities.
