INCAE Entrepreneur Award

The initiative

It is an initiative of the INCAE Entrepreneurship Center that seeks to support entrepreneurs in the region through an academic acceleration program in which they are trained in topics such as operations, marketing and sales, growth strategy, equipment management, innovation, finance and other tools to scale their business to new markets. Of these, 10 are chosen to present their Sales Pitch in front of a jury of senior executives, INCAE Faculty and risk investors in the region.

Requirements

• Being a Latin American entrepreneur Having sales (not necessarily utilities)
• Entrepreneurship that enrolls must have at least 1 year on the market
• Business and operations must be formally constituted
• The business must have at least 3 members in the team
• In the case of the Startup category, additionally they must have a business model in the technology and be scalable internationally

Stages

Acceleration

Entrepreneurs from Latin America will be selected to participate in Free form in a virtual acceleration workshop designed by the Entrepreneurship Center and taught by INCAE faculty on topics of innovation, marketing, finance, business models and growth strategies.

Presentation of Sales Pitches and Awards

Entrepreneurs will have to record a 3-minute Sales Pitch in which they explain their business idea and their vision for the future.

Based on this, we will select 10 enterprises that will be able to present their business plan to a jury made up of investors and team members from the Entrepreneurship Center.

The Business and Startup category will be awarded with non-refundable cash prizes. In addition, entrepreneurs will have access to consultancy with risk investors in the region.

Mentoring stage

The winning enterprises will receive mentorship from professionals and practitioners who will be able to guide them in their growth process.
