Inter-American Institution for Cooperation on Agriculture

The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) is the specialized agricultural agency of the Inter-American System that supports the efforts of its 34 Member States to achieve agricultural development and rural well-being.

Since 1942, IICA has provided international technical cooperation of excellence, responding in a timely manner to the new challenges and opportunities facing the agricultural sector, with a view to achieving an increasingly inclusive, competitive and sustainable agriculture.

Agriculture in the Americas has the potential to become a true engine of development, capable of generating economic growth and prosperity for the populations of the region.
