Welcome to the symposium:
Impact investing is growing in popularity however many promising impact businesses struggle to achieve scale. What solutions can be put in place to close the present financing gap? How do social businesses become anincentive for investors while maintaining their impact objectives? And how do we then measure impact?
This regional symposium on scaling social businesses will address the financial and organisational challenges that many impact entrepreneurs in East Africa are facing today and will identify potential solutions to address these. The programme includes thought provoking and interactive panel discussions, debates and dynamic speakers and workshops. Moreover, the symposium creates an important forum where entrepreneurs and investors can arrive at better ways of cooperation and foster greater understanding to achieve common goals and objectives.
Save the dates: 18 – 20 November 2015.Registration will be possible online from 20th July 2015: www.scalingsocialbusiness.com.
Both hosts of this symposium, ICS and Ka Tutandike, are pioneers in the field of setting up social businesses in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Agrics Tanzania and Agrics Kenya are two of the social businesses of ICS.
