Pitch AgriHack 2016 (Français)

Accelerate entrepreneurship in the field of e-agriculture

Pitch AgriHack! is a new component of the AgriHack Talent program of the ACP-EU Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA ). This first edition 2016 (pilot edition) is organized in collaboration with  the African Development Bank (ADB),  and with the support of partners such as  CABI,   mLab East Africa,  Devlabs, VC4Africa, etc.  This activity includes:

  • an intensive training workshop on entrepreneurship in the e-agriculture sector (ICT for agriculture)
  • competition for technology-based start-ups targeting the agricultural sector;
  • access to grants, mentoring (incubation/acceleration) as well as the opportunity to benefit from investments in the development of commercial services offered.

The ultimate goal is to help develop the business services offered by young e-farm start-ups and accelerate the adoption of innovations to improve the productivity of the agri-food sector in African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries.

The program is open only to young technology sprouts (start-ups) whose founders are over 35 years old. They must have functional prototypes or applications/ICT platforms already in use.

Winning shoots will benefit from an ATK grant   that can be up to 15 000 euros, apart from the investment opportunities of the partners involved.

Please read well before applying for the activity information and its rules. For more information, see http://www.pitch-agrihack.info.
