Uniting the world to tackle climate change
The UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 1 – 12 November 2021.
The COP26 summit will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The Summit will bring the world together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The UK is committed to working with all countries and joining forces with civil society, companies and people on the frontline of climate change to inspire action to tackle climate change ahead of COP26.
We will also use the power of a fair and inclusive Presidency to bring governments, business and civil society together to accelerate progress in five key areas: Adaptation and resilience Nature Energy Transport Finance We are at a turning point for our planet and the decisions we make now will directly impact our ability to safeguard the environment for future generations.
As COP26 Presidency, the UK accepts this challenge and will work tirelessly to deliver: for both our people and our planet.
