The purpose of the National Council for Rural Consultation and Cooperation (CNCR) of Senegal is to contribute to the development of peasant agriculture which ensures the sustainable socio-economic promotion of family farms.
Goals: Promote consultation, cooperation and sharing of experiences between its members; Strengthen, within movements and federations of associations.
Principles: These principles allowed the CNCR to define its intervention framework: Recognition and respect for the authority of the State for the definition of agricultural policies.
Instances: The governing bodies are the Congress, the Board of Directors and the Executive Office. They are made up of leaders of peasant organizations.
