Biofuels Business Incubator(BBI) formerly known and registered as Mapfura-Makhura Incubator (MMI) is a Non-Profit Company (NPC) established in 2006 by a consortium of organizations, which includes: Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), Agricultural Research Council (ARC), Limpopo Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (LDARD), National African Farmers Union (NAFU), Trade & Investment Limpopo (TIL), Centre for Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), University of Limpopo (UL) and the University of Venda (UNIVEN). The incubator is mainly sponsored by the Seda Technology Programme (STP) and the LDARD.
The target market for the incubator is emerging biofuels producers. Incubatees are capacitated with skills of oil seeds crop production, processing of edible vegetable oil & biofuels, as well as business skills to enhance the profitability of their business enterprises.
