The Impact!Africa Social Entrepreneurship Summit mobilizes, inspires, supports, and connects leading social entrepreneurs and key ecosystem players to accelerate innovative solutions to Africa’s most pressing challenges. Hundreds of social entrepreneurs and stakeholders from education, healthcare, women empowerment, the creative economy, and the digital innovation spheres will gather from December 4 to 5 in Nairobi, Kenya, hosted by Ashoka Africa and the British Council.

The summit will prepare and inspire young social entrepreneurs, policymakers, and educational institutions to transform their passion for social change into action. Each day of Impact!Africa is dedicated to a different theme related to social entrepreneurship and economic development in Africa:

  • Day 1: Leadership
  • Day 2: Building a strong ecosystem
  • Day 3: Collaboration

Participants will experience engaging keynote addresses and panel discussions, while sharing in innovation labs and capacity building sessions, all from social entrepreneurs and policy-makers and educational institutions working across the African continent. Participating in Impact!Africa will unlock the opportunity to:

  • Meet social innovators and key players in government, business, and society, shaping the ecosystem of social entrepreneurship in Africa and learn about emerging high-impact solutions.
  • Explore effective win-win collaborative models to scale those solutions.
  • Get re-energized for positive change.

Delegates will forge connections and create lasting partnerships that will have an impact beyond the three-day Summit: communities across Africa and beyond will feel real change. Knowledge, learnings, and highlights from the Summit will be shared more broadly through social media and other channels.

Ashoka is the largest global network of social entrepreneurs with system-changing solution, focusing on creating an “Everyone is a Changemaker” world. Ashoka has had a presence in Africa since 1990 and has elected more than 500 Ashoka Fellows in 20 countries.
