Mentoring growing social entrepreneurs in Tanzania!
Are you an experienced business professional and are you enthusiastic about helping entrepreneurs to improve their product or service, grow market share, raise capital and make a larger impact?
Anza is looking for Tanzania’s business experts, industry leaders and thought leaders to join our database of mentors for current and future programs to provide mentorship and coaching to some of Tanzania’s most promising social entrepreneurs.
We especially encourage women to apply to become a mentor with Anza.
Anza Entrepreneurs provides business development services that assist to strengthen business operations, increase profitability, scale job creation in Tanzania. In the last 10 years, Anza has provided over 2000 businesses in 13 regions of Tanzania with strategic capacity building, trade linkages and access to flexible capital to maximise their ability to create jobs and provide access to life-improving products and services.
Our impact is clear: on average Anza entrepreneurs create 3 new jobs, have revenue growth of $12,000 and reach 12,000 lives all within the first year of programming. We’ve facilitated over $4,500,000 of investment to our entrepreneurs.
The Investment Readiness Acceleration Program is aimed at startups and social business that are looking to scale their business. The program includes a series of three 4-day workshops which will provide businesses with hands-on training to refine business models, sharpen their financial skills, understand their markets and pitch their businesses. The program further provides selected entrepreneurs with:
At the start of each program cycle entrepreneurs and mentors will be matched based on their expertise, the industry they predominantly work in and the impact they wish to achieve. The mentorship will entail 1:1 tailored consultations with the entrepreneurs during the workshops organised throughout the program (time commitment is usually up to 8 hours spread over 90 days..
Moreover, mentors will be encouraged to keep in touch with the entrepreneurs to provide advice, potential market linkages and other connections that will help these social enterprises to thrive.
