WFP Innovation Accelerator Pitch Event

WFP Innovation Accelerator scales high-impact innovations to disrupt hunger

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Innovation Accelerator works to leverage the skills and talent of innovators around the world to find, pilot, and scale novel solutions to hunger. The WFP Pitch Event closes the Innovation Accelerator’s Innovation Bootcamp: a five-day, high-intensity workshop to help innovators dive deep into challenges, ideate solutions and refine their project plans. At the Pitch Event, seven innovators will have the opportunity to showcase their solutions and connect with an audience of investors, government officials and industry leaders.

WFP is please to invite you to its upcoming pitch event to hear live pitches from its newest cohort of start-ups and social entrepreneurs striving to create a future without hunger.

Seven innovation teams piloting their solutions in the following countries — Ethiopia, Iraq, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Senegal, and Zambia — will take the stage to showcase their work to potential funders, government officials, and industry leaders. The event concludes WFP’s 48th Innovation Bootcamp. During this week-long intensive program, teams worked to enhance their solutions using innovation methodologies such as human-centered design and WFP’s operational knowledge, ensuring projects can achieve maximum impact for 811 million people facing hunger worldwide.
