The 27th Annual Wharton Africa Business Forum

Moving Africa Forward: Mobilizing for The Next Growth Frontier

Created in 1992 to celebrate the demonstrated traction and deep potential for growth on the African continent, the Wharton Africa Business Forum (WABF) has a long-standing track record of promoting dialogue across public and private sectors, students and business leaders, and members of the diaspora. Last year’s WABF was the largest yet – we welcomed 50+ speakers from across the continent with deep experience in business leadership across sectors and saw over 650 attendees from over 18 countries.

In it’s 27th year, we are excited to continue this growth and hope that you will join us an attendee or partner.

Our goals for the 27th Forum are auspicious but clear: to provide a conference with content that is relevant and applicable to the current landscapes in the various regions of Africa by pulling together our most diverse set of speakers yet.

This year, we have selected the theme “Moving Africa Forward: Mobilizing for the Next Growth Frontier”, to facilitate dialogue about Africa’s diverse opportunities, and how businesses, governments, and multilaterals can make sense of the vast opportunity on the continent and identify their optimal roles and responsibilities in the near to medium term.

We sincerely hope to push the envelope and enable powerful, challenging conversations that drive change. We look forward to hosting you, November 1st – 3rd, 2019 at The Wharton School.

Sincerely,

Taiwo Abayomi, Ellen Halle & Leonie Badger (WABF 27 Co-Chairs)
