The 2-day Conference organized in a “hybrid” format (in-person and virtual), will create an inclusive foundation that collectively advocates for the implementation of the AfCFTA agreement; to analyze trade policies and other factors that facilitate trade and export for women-owned businesses.
Objectives
- Connect the entrepreneurs with global thought leaders on road map for business visibility and discover pathways to achieve growth through intra-regional trade
- Increase intra-African investments;
- Discuss flexible regulations that would aid trade such as reducing bottlenecks to ease of doing business.
- Create an eco-system to support SMEs and social enterprises in Intra-regional trade.
- Conduct advocacy and awareness-raising on gender and AfCFTA issues, while Strengthening women’s intra-trade associations and networks
- Support capacity-building initiatives for SMEs on international and regional trade requirements
- Advocate for the review of legal and policy frameworks
- Promote the use of information and communications technology-based e-procurement systems as a way of improving regional integration frameworks from a gender perspective
The event will feature a cream of distinguished speakers and panelists who will sensitize, educate and provide the necessary support for SMEs to participate fully in intra-regional trade in Africa.
