Villgro Kenya, a business incubator and impact investor in the health sector, is looking for Innovative Medical Device solutions that address the lack of access to quality and affordable health services & technologies in low-income populations across East Africa.
We believe that Africa’s development problems will be sustainably resolved through for-profit, innovative products & business models that are demand-driven and scalable. Such enterprises deliver social impact by creating jobs for Africa’s rural and urban poor or by meeting their needs as the target market.
How you will benefit
- Funding – Startups can apply to join Villgro Kenya’s portfolio and receive funding from $20, 000 to help advance product development
- Business development expertise which includes business modeling, product validation, and market entry support
- Mentorship – We match startups with relevant mentors who are well versed in the health diagnostic sector in East Africa
- Access to further investment opportunities – Our incubation program will make you investment ready and help unlock more investments from our network of relevant investors.
Our Criteria
Companies with a bias towards improving the livelihoods of people living in poverty. We seek to target interventions that support people who lack quality affordable healthcare. We work with talented innovators, inventors & entrepreneurs with brilliant ideas to help them get to market.
We have a preference for scalable and sustainable models led by a multidisciplinary team with a minimum viable product.
