The Smart and innovative venture will contribute to poverty reduction in Machakos county owing to the unreliable rainfall patterns through implementing this project of dairy goats and cereals farming. The choice of goat farming is due to their resilience level and ability to adapt to climate change, less laborious and requires minimal management. This venture will to large extent rely on advancement in technology to deliver optimum yield. This venture will benefit the community in different ways; resulting in sustainable livelihood for the community members, providing employment opportunities to the community, empowering women by enabling them to have a source of income thus economic independence, and providing nutrition security through the provision of milk, meat, and cereals.
