At the same time, some of the most naturally produced fabrics can be found in Africa. On the other side, an international market – longing to easily produce and buy ethical fashion. At Waya Collective, we are building a decentralized production system, harnessing the full potential of Africa’s fashion industry and production capacity. Enabled by blockchain, production units (we call the “collectives”) can become part of the system by passing certifications and committing to our high standards. In return, they are connected to the world market and receive orders while keeping their independence and power.
For our clients, we make it as easy as possible to start producing. We build a tool where they can choose from African fabrics to source from, and easily develop their idea.
