Wariasol Limitada Illuminating Lives and Promoting Business Opportunities

Wariasol LDA is a Mozambican social enterprise that rents out solar lanterns to low-income families and small rural traders, empowering women and young people as Wariasol agents. Millions of Mozambicans have no electricity, limiting business, security and education. Our solution offers solar lanterns via affordable rent-to-buy, pay-as-you-go, with no upfront cost, distributed by trained local agents. Unlike competitors who sell, we democratize access to energy, generating social impact: more education, income and security. We serve low-income families and traders (15MT/day). With operations underway, we aim for 10,000 lanterns in Nampula, Zambézia and Niassa in 3 years, strengthening community resilience. We seek partnerships with NGOs, investors and financiers to scale impact, improve logistics and expand to solar stoves and batteries.
