Malnutrition and food insecurities pose a high risk to women and children in society. National micronutrient survey conducted in Kenya shows that 42% of pregnant women and 22% children have iron deficiency leading to anemia, maternal and child mortality. Also, 68% of women and 83% of children suffer zinc deficiency leading to long labor during birth,respiratory infection and diarrhea in children.
