In Malawi, where 17.7 million people, mainly in rural areas, live without electricity, Village Solar is on a mission to illuminate lives. We are confronting this challenge head-on by providing solar solutions that empower off-grid communities.

Our Rent-to-Own model is the driving force, allowing these underserved regions to adopt solar energy, ushering in positive change beyond just lighting. Collaborating with local communities, we establish “Village Solar Committees” that serve as hubs, providing families with solar products and essential education.

We are building a network of solar women micro-entrepreneurs who engage directly with families. They deliver solar solutions, sharing insights about solar energy’s benefits. This initiative reaches beyond electricity—it’s about empowerment and transformation.
