UZURI Health & Beauty Healthy is beautiful!

UZURI Health and Beauty seeks to transform the healthcare system in Sub-Saharan Africa by re-introducing preventative and primary care as part of day-to-day life. We do this through beauty centres because they are trusted and popular places.

Despite multiple government and non -governmental efforts to increase access to healthcare, people still have a “sick-care mentality” — going to the doctor only when severally ill. Healthcare is seen as a luxury for a few and people do not see much value in preventative care.

We leverage beauty as an entry point to healthcare, thus making primary care attractive, convenient and more cost effective for low-income people.
