We convert invasive prosopis juliflora tree into clean fuel called Briquettes and we manufacture own cookstoves called silver Bora stoves for domestic and social institutions. We are based in a refugees camp where access to clean energy is at only 10% hence leading to excess deforestation and environmental pollution. Also young girls miss classes to go and fetch firewood and get exposed to early marriage. We intend to offer a solution by cutting down the invasive prosopis juliflora tree that does kill livestock and prevent farming to take place around it affecting over 10,000 hector of land in Turkana.
We aim to convert the pollution waste into energy and save the environment through providing alternative clean fuel and cookstoves. So far we have impacted over 15,000 household and over 32 social institutions such as schools and hospitals. We have created a distribution vendors chain of 211 of self employment to resell our products. We use prosopis as fuel that’s our uniqueness.
