Urithi Arts Transforming Spaces, Inspiring Minds

The Cheche Creative Arts Incubator is a scalable initiative by Urithi Arts that empowers young Tanzanian artists—especially women and marginalized youth—through capacity-building, environmental consciousness, and entrepreneurship in the visual arts. By transforming an established pilot workshop model into a year-round incubator, we aim to support a new generation of creative entrepreneurs with practical, market-ready skills and access to business opportunities.

The project has achieved proof of concept through successful one-month workshops in Dar es Salaam, resulting in demand from both artists and community stakeholders. We now seek to scale the model to reach over 150 creatives annually, generate sustainable income through service provision, and place art at the center of local development.
