Value Proposition: Ukonga is a South African startup that delivers deep digital discounts (coupons/vouchers) directly to shoppers for in-store redemption so that fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands can activate customers and derive valuable insight from the resultant purchasing behaviour.
Solution: We connect FMCG brands directly to shoppers using multi-channel/multi-modal user interfaces (USSD, WhatsApp, SMS), digital coupons/vouchers and POS integration to major retailers (Pick n Pay, Spar).
Stage: Minimum Viable Product, Market Validation Complete (Shopper and Brand), Pre-revenue and ready to launch.
Requirement: R5 million to fund working capital deficits plus capital expenditure on product development, web development and set up costs.
