The problem of mental health is complex and the ravages of civil war and violence are still present and evidence of mourning, frustrations, low self-esteem, migration, gender-based violence, among others. The crisis caused by COVID-19 increased problems, but it has also allowed people to prioritize their mental health more. Access to mental health professionals is very limited and has always been a privilege in our region. With TuConsejería we are providing remote mental health services to underserved populations, with an emphasis on women survivors of violence, youth and suicide support. We have 3 affordable and confidential services: emotional support chat in moments of crisis, psychological therapies by video/audio and support groups.
