TrashCoin Digitizing waste collection in Africa

Trashcoin is a digital Waste Management platform that combines sustainability and fin-tech to recover recyclable waste from communities while lifting people out of poverty. Trashcoin allows customers to deposit recyclable waste directly into their digital wallets and receive credit.
The credit can be withdrawn as cash, used to buy electricity, health insurance, pay educational fees, Cable TV subscriptions, and mobile data or airtime.

Our Recycling as a Business solution also allows individuals with start-up capital as low as 10,000 Naira ($25) to register as collectors/ aggregators, receive bottles from users and resell the bottles to recycling companies to make up to 20% profit margin monthly.
Our 16 months goal is to recycle 15,000 tons of recyclable waste, therefore creating a digital savings wallet for over 2,000,000 marginalized people, especially women, our solution will also create employment for over 153,000 people, across 15 major cities in Nigeria and West Africa.
