Trash4Tech Turning Plastic Waste (pet) into Digital Skills

I founded Trash4Tech to solve two of Northern Nigeria’s most pressing challenges, a growing plastic waste crisis and a generation of young people locked out of the digital economy. While youth unemployment continues to rise across Kano, Bauchi, and Gombe States, millions of talented young people lack access to practical tech education, not because they are unwilling, but because the barriers, financial, geographic, and social are too high.
Trash4Tech builds a community-driven pathway into technology by turning plastic waste into opportunity. Participants register for our tech development programs by submitting PET plastic waste instead of cash, removing financial barriers while simultaneously addressing environmental degradation. We do not just teach tech skills, we build digitally capable, environmentally conscious young people who are ready to contribute to their communities and compete in a modern economy.
