TODAA FARMS Cultivation of Biofortified ProVitamine A cassava tubers

The business idea is to be producing and sells of cassava tubers high in starch content and beta carotene (Vitamin A) to processing factory, local processors and household families as well as improved cassava stems to farmers within the south-south part of Nigeria. This is because cassava is one of the most important staple food crop consumed most in Rivers State and the supply of this commodity is very low as a result of loss of interest by the people for farming because of the presence of oil and gas companies in the state where they think money can be made easily.
The demand for cassava products like garri, fufu, flour etc increases as the population increases and if nothing is done people will die of hunger. I decided to take up this farming opportunity of cultivating Bio fortified Pro- Vitamin A cassava as to be supplying cassava stems and tubers to customers within its environs.
