TenEx Farms SL Ltd A Crowdfunding Platform For Small Holder Farmers

We have built an app to help smallholder farmers in Sierra Leone gain access to affordable and flexible financing from local and global investors. We assist them through a process that would make their businesses investment ready and connect them with Urban and diaspora investors who want to support the agricultural sector and earn returns from their investments. Lack of Access to Affordable Finance, Limited Adoption of Sustainable Agricultural Practices and Inadequate Infrastructure and Weak Market Access creates a vicious cycle of poverty (56.8% – 12.9% extreme), food insecurity (82% – 18% extreme), and environmental degradation (30%) in Sierra Leone. Our solution sets smallholder farmers, who represent a significant portion of the population (40%), free from the above-mentioned triad, and could convert our nation’s over $100M imports a year into locally generated revenue 5% of which we retain as transaction and facilitation fees.
