Ssumo Agriventures From soil to Pond:(From Soybean to Fish Feed)

Ssumo Agriventures is a vertically integrated soybean agribusiness based in Kenya. We combine in-house production (40 acres) with aggregation from over 500 smallholder farmers to supply high-quality soybean to animal and fish feed manufacturers.

Between 2022 and 2025, we grew revenues from KES 5.0M to KES 10.9M while maintaining strong profitability.

We are now expanding into soybean oil pressing and fish feed formulation to build a circular value chain where soybean cake becomes protein feed for aquaculture. This reduces dependence on imported feed ingredients, lowers costs for fish farmers, minimizes post-harvest losses, and increases farmer incomes.

Our goal is to scale sustainable, locally produced protein solutions across East Africa.
