Smart Afrogrics is a social enterprise based in Kenya that highly cultivates innovation into its activities. It uses sustainable approaches to such as electroplastication (innovative conversion of plastic waste to electricity), Asili Farm Africa(Use of nature-based organic fertilizers and pesticides) and Asili Insight App( AI- powered software used by farmers to provide real-time crop disease and pest analysis) to ensure that the climate change effects in both the energy and agricultural ecosystems are lowered. Through the two approaches we ensure that we provide alternative electricity solutions to marginalized areas at an affordable costs (11 cents) per unit and low costs of agricultural production and increased and optimized yields by up to 50% to smallholder farmers.
By employing the circular economy model in both of our approaches with integration of AI, we ensure that our approaches are highly replicable across Sub-Saharan Africa
